Dai la wananchi la kupata Katiba Mpya limedumu kwa zaidi ya miaka 30 sasa na serikali imekuwa ikilipa kisogo kwa kutanguliza maslahi yao mbele. Hivyo, kama nchi kwenda kwenye maridhiano bila ya kuwa na msingi ambao tumekubaliana nayo awali ambayo ni katiba ni kazi bure kwani tusipoweka madai ya katiba kwa njia bora, maridhiano hayatakuwa na mafanikio. CCM wameharibu mfumo mzima wa uongozi kuanzia kwenye chama  mpaka kwenye nchi, hawako tayari kuona mabadiliko wala maendeleo ya hii nchi. Tuna matatizo ya kimfumo ambayo ukionekana unatenda haki unachukuliwa kama mhalifu. Nchi yetu inahitaji utawala wa sheria, demokrasia, uwajibikaji, kuheshimiwa kwa haki za binadamu na kuhakikisha nidhamu za polisi ambayo yote jibu ni katiba bora. Tukiwa na katiba bora itazuia viongozi kutawala kwa hisia na mihemko binafsi na badala yake kutawala vile katiba inavyotaka.

Kwa sasa maisha yamepanda bei na kuzidi kuwa magumu kwa mtanzania wa kawaida lakini hii yote ni kwa sababu ya kukosa uongozi bora na uwajibikaji. Viongozi wapo bize na vitu visivyo vya msingi kama kuhangaikia muswada wa kuwalipa wenza wao na kutafuta vazi la taifa. Watanzania inabidi watambue kuwa matitizo ni ya kwetu sote na inatubidi tupambanie kupata katiba mpya. Tunahitaji mabadiliko kwa ajili yetu na vizazi vyetu, kama watanzania tunaolipenda taifa letu inabidi tupambane kupata mabadiliko ya kikatiba na ya kimfumo wa taifa letu na kila mwananchi ahusike.

The people's demand for a new constitution has lasted for more than 30 years now and the government has been postponing it by putting their interests first. Thus, if the country is to go into a political reconciliation without it being on the basis that we have agreed on before, which is the demand for a new constitution, it is a futile task because if we do not put the demands of the constitution as a priority in the best way, the reconciliation process will not be successful. 

CCM has destroyed the entire leadership system in the country starting from itself as the leading party to the government, they are still waiting to see change or development taking place there. We have systemic problems where if one appears to be doing justice, is seen as a criminal. Our country needs the rule of law, democracy, accountability, respect for human rights, and police accountability, and the answer to all this is a good constitution. If we have a good constitution, it will prevent leaders from ruling out personal feelings and whims and instead rule as the constitution wants.

Life has become more expensive and difficult for a common Tanzanian, but this is all because of a lack of good leadership and responsibility. Leaders are busy with non-essential issues like passing out a bill to pay their partners and coming up with a national costume while important matters are left at bay. Tanzanians have to realize that the difficulties faced affect everyone and we have to unite to fight for a new constitution. We need change for ourselves and our future generations. Thus, as Tanzanians who love our nation, we have to fight for constitutional and systemic changes in our country and every citizen should be involved.
