CCM Kutumia Dola Kushika Dola Tunaondokana Vipi Na Usultani Wao?

ENGLISH VERSION
Chama Cha Mapinduzi has been leading Tanzania since independence and has continued to remain in power for more than sixty years now. CCM continuing to remain in power has not been with the consent of the people but because CCM has decided to take power through the government and assure itself that it remains in power by using force. This has led to abuse, oppression and the loss of human rights for citizens. We have witnessed people being accused of false cases, journalists being arrested and imprisoned for criticizing the government, opposition parties being denied the freedom to carry out their constitutional duties and the government ignoring the wishes and opinions of the people who have the real power by putting the party's interests first.
Our constitution, which is the mother law, has not clearly separated between the ruling party and the state by giving the President too much powers of authority leading to the sultanate leadership, since the president elects all the leaders of the governing bodies of the country. There is no accountability relations between the branches of government, and this is not good for the wider national interest. This has been seen in issues such as the Maasai people of Loliondo and Ngorongoro being forcibly removed from their homes and the government denying them basic services as a way of forcing them to move. In this matter, the parliament has turned a blind eye and the court on the other hand, while it resolved some cases opened by the citizens in favor of the citizens it has not yet taken any action when the government is seen to have violated the court's decisions.
In this system, no one in the government can question the ruling party CCM, but the party leader has the ability to hold the government executive accountable. In order to return power from the government to the people, we must get a better constitution that will put in place enable us to get a ruling party that recognizes that it is responsible to the people.
