Kwa muda mrefu watanzania wamekuwa wakichukulia siasa kama kazi ya watu waliopo madarakani tuu na kwenye vyama vya siasa na kujiweka kando na mambo yanahusiana na siasa. Siasa ni mchakato wa maendeleo kwani maamuzi yanayofanywa na wanasiasa yanaamua maisha wanayoishi wananchi. Mikataba mibovu, sera mbovu na sheria mbovu hizi zote hupelekea kustawi au kudhoofika kwa maisha ya wananchi ambao ndio wenye mamlaka ya kweli. Hivyo, ushiriki katika siasa ni jambo la muhimu kwa wananchi.

Hali ngumu ya maisha ya sasa inayotokana na kodi na tozo zilizopitiliza, kupanda bei kwa bidhaa za msingi na uwepo wa sheria kandamizi zinazonyima uhuru wananchi na kuwapa nguvu walio madarakani kuendelea kudhulumu na kukandamiza wananchi imefanya wengi kuingia barabarani na kuunga mkono maandamano yanayoendeshwa na CHADEMA kama njia ya kutaka mabadiliko kutoka kwa serikali. Ni vyema wananchi wakaeleimishwa kuhusu umuhimu wa kushiriki katika siasa ukiwa ni mchakato wa maendeleo na wananchi wenyewe wapiganie maslahi ya taifa lao na kuchukua umiliki wa nchi mikononi mwao uliyoporwa na watu wachache kupitia harakati za kupata #KatibaMpya #ChangeTanzania #WenyeNchiWananchi

ENGLISH VERSION

For a long time, Tanzanians have been treating politics as the work of people who are in power and in political parties and keep themselves away from things related to politics. Politics is part and process of development as the decisions made by politicians determine the lives lived by its citizens. Bad contracts, bad policies and laws all lead to the improvement or poor living standards of citizens who have the real power. Thus, participation in politics is of great importance to citizens. 

Currently, the difficult living conditions resulting from excessive taxes and fees, rising prices of basic goods and the presence of oppressive laws that deprive citizens of their freedom and empower those in power to continue oppressing and exploiting the people has made many people take to the streets and support the protests led by CHADEMA as a way to demand for change from the government. It is of great importance that the citizens are educated about the importance of participating in politics as a process of development and the need for citizens themselves to partake in the fight for their interests and those of their nation and take ownership of the country. This will be made possible through actively being engaged in and keeping alive the demand for a new constitution.
