Ulagai kipindi cha uchaguzi ni jambo la kawaida na lyme kuwepo miaka na miaka japo mbinu zinazotumika zimekuwa zikibadilika. Serikali ya CCM imekuwa ikiongoza Tanzania tangu ipate uhuru na imeonyesha nia ya kutaka madaraka kwa nguvu zote. Katika kufanikisha hilo imekuwa ikitumia njia mbalimbali ikiwemo kuwaaminisha wananchi kuwa ikitokea chama kingine kitashinda itapelekea machafuko nchini.

Hivyo kupelekea baadhi ya wananchi kupigia kura chama tawala bila kujali sera na utendaji wake kwa miaka iliyopita kwa kuogopa machafuko ya kisiasa nchini. Serikali imeviweka vyombo vya habari mfukoni kufanya ugumu kusambaza taarifa za kweli na kuvitumia vyombo hivi kueneza propaganda na ulaghai kwa wananchi. Hivi karibuni CCM kupitia Katibu Mwenezi wake wa chama imekua ikipita mikoani kuuliza kero za wananchi ili izitatue, lakini hizi ni kero ambazo zimekuwepo kwa muda mrefu bila ya serikali kuchukua hatua na wananchi kukubali kuwa ujio wake kama jambo la kushukuriwa. Hii imetumika kama mbinu ya kuwalaghai wananchi katika kipindi hiki tukiwa tunaelekea katika uchaguzi. Wananchi wanachotaka mpaka sasa ni mabadiliko hasa ya Katiba  ili kupata mifumo bora ya utawala inayolinda haki zao na kuimarisha uwajibikaji, hivyo hakuna ulazima wa CCM kuzunguka nchi nzima kusikiliza kero, wakati mfumo unaoleta kero umefumbiwa macho. Tunahitaji mifumo bora ya kiutawala na uongozi itakayowahakikishia wananchi maisha bora ili kila mtu kwa nafasi yake aweze kutoa mchango katika maendeleo ya nchi.

Fraud during elections is a common phenomenon and has existed for years and years, although the methods used have been changing over time. The CCM government has been leading Tanzania since independence and has shown the desire to seek power with all its might. In achieving this, it has been using various methods, including convincing the people that if another political party wins, it will lead to chaos in the country. This has lured some citizens into voting for the ruling party regardless of its policies and performance for the past years in fear of political unrest in the country. The government has put the media in its pockets making it difficult to distribute true information but instead has been using it to spread propaganda to the people. Recently CCM, through its Joint Secretary of the party, has been passing through different regions in the country asking the citizens their problems in order to solve them, but these are problems that have existed for a long time without the government taking initiative to solve them. This has been used as a method to deceive the people in this period as we are heading towards the elections. What the people want is a change in the Constitution in order to get better governance systems that protect their rights and strengthen accountability, so there is no need for the CCM to go around the country listening to complaints, while they play blind to the system that causes these problems. We need better administrative and leadership systems that will ensure a better life for the people so that everyone can contribute to the development of the country.
