Wananchi wanaendelea kusumbuliwa na matatizo mbalimbali nchini. Sekta ya ardhi imekua changamoto, watu wanauwawa kwa kupigwa risasi. Migogoro kati ya wa kulima na wafugaji imeendelea kushika kasi, na serikali imeendelea kuwapa kipaumbele wawekezaji kwa kuwapa thamani kuliko wananchi. Miradi mbalimbali ya serikali imepita kwenye maeneo ya wananchi  lakini wananchi hawajalipwa fidia na wanaendelea kuidai serikali. Nchi yetu ina kila kitu isipokuwa tumekosa viongozi wazalendo wenye utashi na upendo na taifa letu. Mwaka 2024 wananchi wamekubaliana kuwa ni mwaka wa kukemea maovu na kuharibu kazi za wizi wa rasilimali za umma ili tuwe na maendeleo kwa wote na hii itafanikiwa tuu kupitia #KatibaMpya.  Hivyo, wananchi wamekubali agenda kuu kuwa ni kuendeleza madai ya #KatibaMpya. 

CCM wamefanikiwa kupeleka mbele agenda ya #KatibaMpya kwa kuleta miswada ya Sheria ya Uchaguzi na Sheria ya Vyama Vya Siasa ili kuhakikisha kuwa wanapata ushirikiano wa wananchi kuwezesha uchaguzi kufanyika bila ya kuwa na #KatibaMpya. Msimamo wa wananchi umebaki kuwa ule ule wa kutaka #KatibaMpya kabla ya kushiriki uchaguzi ili uchaguzi uwe wa uhuru na wa haki.

Katiba mpya mdio dira kuu itakayoleta uswa, haki na maendeleo katika nchi. Ni muda wa watanzania kuachana na kutegemea wanasiasa ili kuleta mabadiliko na kutengeneza nguvu ya pamoja ya umma kwenye mchakato wa #KatibaMpya. Mashirika ya kibiashara, vyama vya wafanyakazi, vyama vya wakulima na vyama vya dini viuungane katika harakati hii kwani kama wananchi tukifanikiwa kubadilisha mifumo yetu kupitia #KatibaMpya mabadiliko yatalenga kuendeleza na kuboresha maisha ya wananchi.

Citizens continue to suffer from various problems in the country. The land sector has continued to become a challenge, such that people are being killed. Conflicts between farmers and herders have continued to gain momentum, and the government has continued to give priority to investors at the expense of the citizens. Various government projects have taken over the people’s lands and left them uncompensated. Our country is endowed with everything except that we lack patriotic leaders with a burden to steer the nation towards development. In 2024, the people have agreed that it is the year to condemn evil and theft of public resources so that we can progress as a nation and this will only be successful through a new constitution. Thus, the citizens have agreed that the main agenda is to advance the demands of a new constitution.

CCM has succeeded in changing the narrative from that of a new constitution to one that focuses on getting through with the upcoming elections by bringing in drafts of the Election Law and that of Political Parties to ensure that they get the cooperation of the people to enable elections to take place without a new constitution in place. The position of the people has remained the same to wanting a new constitution before participating in the elections so that the elections are free and fair.

A new constitution will bring peace, justice and development in the country. It's time for Tanzanians to stop relying on politicians to bring about change and create the collective power of the public in the demands for a new constitution. Commercial organizations, trade unions, farmers' associations and religious associations should join the  movement because if we succeed in changing our systems through the new constitution, the changes will aim to develop and improve the lives of all citizens.
