Chama Cha Mapinduzi kipo madarakani si kwa ridhaa ya wananchi bali ni nguvu ya dola inayowezeshwa kwa katiba yetu ya sasa. Kwa mfumo wa sasa Rais ndio kila kitu na anachosema ni sheria kwani yeye yupo juu ya sheria. Hii imekua chanzo cha mikataba mibovu, mlundikano wa tozo na mikopo lukuki ya nje yanayo ongeza deni la taifa. Mahakama yetu ni dhaifu kwani majaji wanateuliwa na Rais. Wananchi wakishinda kesi dhidi ya serikali, serikali inabadilisha sheria ili kukwepa kuwajibika. Wabunge wamekuwa mawakala wa serikali kwa kuwa mkono wa kutekele3za matakwa ya serikali bila kusikiliza maoni ya wananchi na wanapata ujasiri wa kuwaambia wananchi kuwa hawaruhusiwi kumsema vibaya Rais. 

Kwa mkataba wa bandari wananchi walipewa  masaa 24 ili watoe maoni jambo ambalo si sawa kwani wabunge walipaswa kuykusanya maoni ya wananchi kabla mkataba huu haujasainiwa. Rais Magufuli alishawahi kusema kuwa kuna mikataba mibovu ambayo ni kichaa tuu anaweza kukubaliana nayo. Baada ya mkataba huu wa bandari kuvuja watanzania wameitaka serikali iweke mikataba hiyo wazi ili wananchi waweze kujua inarekebishwaje kwa kuwa mwisho wa siku mzigo unakuja kuwaangukia wananchi. CCM hawataki katiba mpya ili waendelee kufanya maovu wanayofanya. Kama nchi ingekuwa na katiba bora CCM wengi wangekuwa jela. CCM wamelewa madaraka katika mfumo wa sasa unaokosa uwajibikaji Wananchi waamue kuidai katiba mpya kwani waliopo madarakani wameshatuonyesha kuwa wameshindwa kujidhibiti wenyewe. Inabidi watanzania wawe wamoja katika kutetea haki yao ya kupata #KatibaMpya.

Chama Cha Mapinduzi is in power not by the consent of the people but by the power of the state enabled by our current constitution. In the current system, the President is everything and what she says becomes the law she is above the law. This has become a source of bad exploitative contracts, accumulation of tax fees and external loans that increase the national debt. Our court is weak because judges are appointed by the President. If citizens win cases against the government, the government changes the law to avoid responsibility. 

Members of Parliament have become agents of the government by being the hand that implements the government's wishes without listening to the opinions of the people and still find the courage to tell the people that they are not allowed to speak ill of the President. With the DP World port contract the people were given 24 hours to give their opinion, something that is not right because the members of parliament were supposed to collect the opinion of the people from their constituents before this contract was signed. President Magufuli once said that there are bad contracts that only a crazy person can agree to. After this port contract with DP World having leaked, Tanzanians have asked the government to make other bad contracts open to the people so that together as a country can seek solutions on how they can be amended because at the end of the day the burden brought by these contracts falls on the people. 

CCM does not want a new constitution so they can continue doing the evil things they are doing. If the country had a better constitution, many leaders under the ruling political party, CCM would be in jail. CCM is drunk with power in the current system that lacks responsibility. Citizens should consistently continue to demand for a new constitution because those in power have already shown us that they have failed to lead with integrity. Tanzanians must be united in defending their right towards a new constitution.
