Mkataba wa bandari baina ya Tanzania na DP World umeanisha kuwa endapo DP World watahitaji ardhi basi Serikali ya Tanzania haitakuwa na budi zaidi ya kuwapa ardhi. Yaani DP World watapatiwa ardhi bila kipingamizi chochote. Ardhi ni uhai wa nchi, hivyo kuwapa wageni ardhi ni sawa na kuwa watumwa wao kwani ardhi ni chanzo kikubwa cha shughuli za kibiashara, iwe kilimo cha mazao na mifugo, au uendeshaji wa viwanda. Wananchi wanaumizwa kuwa sehemu ya nchi iliyokosa dira kutokana na kuwa na viongozi waliokosa muelekeo. Hatua ya Serikali kusaini mkataba huu wa bandari na DP World umeumiza wananchi wengi kwani matakwa kama ya kuwapa wageni wa nje ardhi ambayo ni ya wananchi ni sawa na uporaji wa ardhi kutoka kwa wananchi ambao ndio wenye haki kamili juu ya ardhi yao. 

Hii ni kwa sababu wananchi watahamishwa kwenye makazi yao ili kupisha wageni jambo ambalo litapelekea uvunjifu wa haki nyingi za kibinadamu.  Wananchi wamekubali kuwa kutoa ardhi kwa taifa geni ni ukoloni mbaya kwani wameshuhudia wamasai wa Loliondo na Ngorongoro walivyokuwa watumwa kwa kutolewa kwenye ardhi yao ya asili ya mababu zao na waliobaki kunyimwa huduma za kijamii ambazo ni haki za msingi. 

Wananchi wanachotaka ni uwekezaji wenye manufaa kwa nchi na kwa vizazi vijavyo. Wasichokubali wananchi ni mkataba utakaotufunga tusiweze kufanya chochote isipokuwa kwa ridhaa ya waarabu wa DP World kwani mwisho wa siku wageni hao watatuamulia uchumi wetu, siasa zetu na hata haki zetu za kijamii. Watanzania inabidi wapiganie haki yao ya #KatibaMpya na madai haya yaendelee bila kuchoka kwani tukisubiri haki ije ichukue haki yake tutaingia kwenye machafuko.

The port agreement contract between Tanzania and DP World states that if DP World needs land then the Government of Tanzania will have no choice but to give them land. In other words, DP World will be given the land without any objection. Land is equated to the life of the country, giving foreigners ownership over land is the same as being their slaves because land is a major source of commercial activities, be it the cultivation of crops and livestock, or the operation of industries. Citizens are disgraced to be part of a country that lacks a vision due to the presence of leaders in power not bearing any vision for where the country is headed. 

The Government's move to sign this port agreement contract with DP World has hurt several citizens because demands such as giving foreigners land that belongs to the people is equivalent to land grabbing from the people who have full rights over their land. This is because citizens will be displaced from their homes to accommodate foreigners, which will lead to the violation of several human rights. The people have agreed that giving land to foreigners is a worst kind of colonialism as they have witnessed the Maasai people of Loliondo and Ngorongoro who were enslaved by being forcefully evicted from their ancestral land while those who remained were denied social services which are their basic rights. What the citizens want is a sustainable beneficial investment for the country and for future generations. 

What the people do not accept is an investment contract that will sell our freedom to foreigners such that as a country we will not be able to do anything except with the consent of the Arabs from DP World because at the end of the day the foreigners will decide on our economy, our politics and even our social rights. Tanzanians have to fight for their right to gain a new constitution and these demands should continue relentlessly because if we wait for justice to come and take its rights as a country we will enter into political chaos.
