Nguvu ya umma ni muhimu katika kuhakikisha kuwa matatizo ya wananchi yanatatuliwa. Ili kuimarisha mshikamano na nguvu ya umma inabidi watanzania waweke pembeni ukabila, hali zao za kiuchumi, itikadi za kisiasa na matakwa yao binafsi na kuunga juhudi za kupigania mambo yatakayonufaisha watanzania wote. Mshikamano utaimarika endapo watatnzania hasa walio katika nafasi za uongozi kuacha kuhusishsa maamuzi juu ya mambo ya msingi kwa kuzingatia vyama vyao vya kisiasa Nguvu ya umma itaimarika pale ambapo watanzania watajijengea utamaduni wa kujisomea na kujishughulisha na mambo ya  maendeleo.

 Wananchi wawe sehemu ya kuhabarisha na kuelimisha wengine juu ya mambo yanayotokea pamoja na kuunga mkono harakati za wananchi wengine wanapopigania haki itendeke. Mgomo wa wafanyabiashara wa kariakoo ni mfano mzuri unaodhihirisha kuwa nguvu ya umma na mshikamano wa wananchi unaweza kuleta mabadiliko. Nguvu ya umma isiwe tuu katika mambo ya siasa bali katika nyanja nyingine kama katika kuhakikisha kuwa sheria kandamizi zinatolewa. Katiba ni hitaji la kila mtanzania bila kujali chama, dini au kabila. Inabidi tupiganie mabadiliko yanayo badili mifumo ya  utawala kutoka hali ya ukandamizaji kwenda kwenye hali ambayo wananchi wanausemi na nguvu ya kweli kuamua hatima ya nchi yao.

Public solidarity is important in ensuring that people's problems are solved. In order to strengthen public unity, Tanzanians have to put aside their differences in ethnicity, their economic conditions, political ideologies and their personal wishes and support efforts to fight for things that will benefit all Tanzanians. Solidarity will be strengthened if Tanzanians, especially those in leadership positions, stop making decisions based on their political parties or affiliations. The power of the public will also be strengthened when Tanzanians will begin to cultivate a self-study culture on matters that are taking place, actively engaging in development matters. Citizens should be part of informing and educating others about the things that are happening as well as supporting the movements of other citizens as they fight for justice. 

The strike of local traders at Kariakoo market is a good example showing that the power of the public and the solidarity of the people can bring about change. The power of the public should not only be in political matters but in other fields such as in ensuring that repressive laws are removed. A new constitution is the need of every Tanzanian regardless of one’s political party, religion or ethnicity. We have to aggressively unite our efforts in making sure that we attain a new constitution that will bring changes in the governance systems from an oppressive one to a state where the people have a voice and real power to decide the fate of their country.
