Pamoja na nchi nyingi kukiri kuwa zinafuata mfumo wa kidemokrasia mara nyingi misingi yake haifuatwi, Tanzania ikiwemo. Rais Samia akiwa anahutubia katika mkutano wa wadau wa demokrasia nchini alizungumzia uwepo wa uporomokaji wa maadili nchini lakini Serikali yenyewe ndiyo ya kwanza kwa kuporomosha maadili nchini. Kwa miaka mingi wananchi wameshuhudia serikali ikitoa ripoti za CAG zikihusisha ubadhirifu mkubwa wa mali za umma lakini hakuna hatua zozote za uwajibikaji zinachukuliwa. Rais Samia amevitaka vyama vya siasa nchini vione kuwa kuruhusiwa kufanya mikutano ya hadhara kama fursa na hivyo kutotumia nafasi hiyo kutukana na kukashifu. Hii si sawa kwani kuruhusu mikutano ya hadhara sio kwa hisani ya rais bali ni haki ya kikatiba ya vyama vya siasa kufanya mikutano ya hadhara na si fursa kama anavyodai Rais. Hii pekee inaonyesha kutokuwepo kwa demokrasia ya kweli nchini. 

Demokrasia ni serikali ya watu iliyochaguliwa na watu kutumikia watu. Wananchi wamekubaliana kuwa nchini hakuna demokrasia iliyojenga misingi yake katika kutumikia watu. Kwa kinachoendelea Loliondo na Ngorongoro ni kuwadharau wananchi wa Tanzania amabo ndio wenye mamlaka ya kweli juu ya nchi yao kwa kuwalazimisha wananchi kuondoka kwenye ardhi zao za asili ambayo ni haki yao. Bajeti zilizopitishwa kwa ajili ya kuboresha huduma za jamii zimepelekwa Msomera na hii imepelekea watu kuishi maisha magumu. 

Wananchi hawana chakula kwa zuio la kutokulima na serikali haiwaruhusu kwenda kwenye maeneo ya jirani kama  Karatu kununua chakula, wananchi kuvamiwa kwa kuvunjiwa milango ya nyumba, kuna taarifa za wanawake kubakwa lakini hakuna anayeripoti kuhusu mambo haya. Serikali inavyoparanganisha miundo jikimu ya watu inapelekea uteketezaji wa kabila kwa kuwaondolea utambulisho wao. Wananchi wamekuwa watumwa kwenye ardhi yao na bado Rais Samia anadiriki kusema hatuwezi kupata maendeleo kupitia kitabu (katiba). Hivyo amekua akidanganya umma wa watanzania juu ya katiba. Kama kweli tunataka kupata #KatibaMpya itakayotuwezesha kuwa na tume huru ya uchaguzi lazima kama wananchi tuamue kuchukua hatua ya dhati katika kupigania #KatibaMpya.

Despite many countries admitting that they follow a democratic system, often its principles are not followed, including Tanzania. President Samia, while addressing a meeting of democracy stakeholders in the country, talked about the existence of moral decline in the country, but the Government itself is the first to collapse morals in the country. For many years, citizens have witnessed the government issuing CAG reports involving a large waste of public assets, but no accountability measures are taken. President Samia has asked the political parties in the country to see being allowed to hold public meetings as an opportunity and therefore not to use the opportunity to issue insults and slander. This is not right because allowing public meetings is not for the benefit of the president but it is the constitutional right of political parties to hold public meetings and it is not an opportunity as the President claims. This alone shows the absence of true democracy in the country.

Democracy is a government of the people elected by the people to serve the people. Currently in the country, there is no democracy that has built its foundations in serving the people. What is happening in Loliondo and Ngorongoro is disrespecting the people of Tanzania who have the real authority over their land by forcing them to leave their ancestral lands which is their right. Budgets passed for improving community services in the area have been diverted to Msomera leaving the people in difficulties without social services and even food as they have been banned from practicing farming.

 The government has gone even further to restricting them from going to the neighboring areas like Karatu to buy food, people are being attacked and harassed in their own homes, there are reports of women being raped but no one reports about these things. This will in turn lead to the complete destruction of the ethnic tribe by removing their identity. The people have become slaves on their land and still President Samia is able to say that development can not be achieved through the book (constitution). This just shows that her government has no intention of leading the country towards attaining the people’s constitution. Hence it is up to the people to decide to take serious action in fighting to attain a new constitution.
