Matukio mengi yamekuwa yakitokea hivi karibuni yameashiria kuwa ni maandalizi ya chama tawala CCM katika kujihakikishia ushindi katika uchaguzi unaokuja. Tumeona Ripoti ya CAG pamoja na kuonyesha upotevu wa mabilioni ya fedha lakini serikali ya CCM haijachukua hatua yoyote ile juu ya wizi huu. Fedha hizi wenda ni za kufaulisha shughuli za uchaguzi 2024/25 katika kutoa rushwa kwa wananchi za usafiri wa kuhudhuria kwenye mikutano ya kampeni. Tumeona pia Rais akiahidi bilioni 125 kwa ajili ya jeshi la polisi, pesa ambayo haipo kwenye bajeti ya nchi. Ni wazi kuwa hii ni hongo kwa polisi ili waweze kuwaadhibu watu wanaotoa maoni tofauti na serikali, na watu wanaoikosoa serikali. Jambo hili limeacha mswali kwa wananchi kuwa kama bajeti ya majeshi yetu yote hujumuishwa kwenye bajeti ya serikali, iweje Rais aahidi fedha zilizo ndani ya bajeti? Polisi kwa upande wao wamesema kuwa wanajiandaa na uchaguzi, jambo ambalo pia limeibua wasiwasi juu ya nafasi ya jeshi la polisi katika uchaguzi kwani kazi ya polisi ni kulinda raia na mali zake lakini kwa kuangalia chaguzi zilizopita jeshi la polisi lilitumika kudhuru wananchi na kuwazuia wasitimize haki zao kikaktiba kama ya kuhudhuria mikutano ya kampeni kwa kuleta vurugu. Wananchi walikamatwa, na kufungwa kipindi cha uchaguzi. Katika kukihakikishia chama tawala ushindi katika uchaguzi wa serikali za mitaa ujao wa 2024/25, Rais Samia amemteua Mohamed Mchengerwa ambaye ni mkwe wake katika Ofisi ya Rais - TAMISEMI ambayo pamoja na Tume ya Taifa ya Uchaguzi inasimamia na kuratibiwa chaguzi za serikali za mitaa. 

Baba wa Taifa aliwahi kusema rasilimali bora itakayoleta maendeleo ya nchi ni uongozi bora uliopatikana bila ya wizi wa kura. Wananchi tuendelee kuelimishana na kuhamasishana nafasi yetu kama wananchi, kuwa tuna mamlaka ya mwisho katika kuleta mabadiliko ya nchi yetu.  Ili kupata serikali inayosikiliza wananchi, inayolinda maslahi ya wananchi na kuhakikisha kuwa rasilimali za wananchi zinatumikia wananchi na si mataifa ya nje ni lazima tupate

Many events that have been happening recently have indicated that it is the preparation of the ruling CCM party to ensure victory in the upcoming elections. We have seen the CAG Report showing the loss of billions of money but the CCM government has not taken any action on this theft. These funds are probably to facilitate the activities of the 2024/25 elections in providing bribes during the campaign meetings. We have also seen the President promising 125 billion to the police force, money that is not in the country's budget. It is clear that this is a bribe to the police force so that they can punish people who express opinions different from the government, and people who criticize the government. This has left a question to the people that if the budget of our armed forces is included in the annual government budget, how can the President promise the police force funds that are within the budget? The police, on their part, have stated that they are preparing for the elections, something that has also raised concerns about the role of the police force in the elections, as the job of the police is to protect citizens and their property, but looking at previous elections, the police force was used to harm citizens and prevent them from exercising their constitutional rights during elections such as attending campaign meetings by causing violence. Citizens were arrested, and imprisoned during the election period. In guaranteeing the ruling party victory in the upcoming local government elections of 2024/25, President Samia has appointed Mohamed Mchengerwa who is his son-in-law to the Office of the President, Regional Administrations and Local Governments - TAMISEMI which together with the National Election Commission oversees and coordinates the local government elections.

The late Mwalimu Nyerere once said that the best resource that will bring the development of the country is a good leadership obtained without theft of votes during elections. As citizens, we should continue to educate and motivate each other about our position as citizens that we have the final authority in bringing about change in our country. In order to get a government of the people, that listens to the people, protects the interests of the people and ensures that the resources of the people serve the people and not foreigners, we must get a new  constitution
