Baada ya Safari ya Rais Samia huko Dubai tumeshuhudia watanzania wenzetu wa Loliondo wakivamiwa kijeshi na wananchi katika viji 16 vya Loliondo wamenyanganywa maeneo yao huku wafalme wakiarabu wakipewa ruhusa kuwinda kwenye hifadhi zetu. Na sasa tunashuhudia swala la bandari, haya yote ni utekelezaji wa makubaliano aliyoyafanya Rais huko Dubai. Taifa letu lilikopa zaidi ya trilioni 1 kutoka World Bank ili kuimarisha bandari yetu lakini leo serikali yetu inawapa DP World. Mkataba wa DP World haujaainisha fedha kiasi gani kitawwekezwa kwenye bandari, hii inaonyesha wazi kuwa viongozi wanaiba rasimali za nchi kwa mwamvuli wa uwekezaji. Wananchi wanahoji; kama serikali imeshindwa kusimamia bandari itawezaje kusimamia nchi yenye watu milioni 60?, je DP alipatikanaje? alishindanishwa na nini na lini? Serikali inakwepa kujibu maswali ya msingi na badala yake  imetuma viongozi nchi nzima kufanya mikutano ya kutetea mkataba wa DP World ili kupumbaza wananchi wasipige kelele na kwa wanaopiga kelele imewaita wapotoshaji na kuendelea kutuma vitisho ili kunyamazisha watu wanaopinga mkataba huu lakini bado sauti ya wananchi haijafa. 

Hii nchi ni mali ya watanzania na watanzania na haki zao kikatiba kama vile uhuru wa kujieleza. Serikali kuzuia wananchi kutumia njia za kidemokrasia kupata muafaka wa kitaifa itapelekea utawala wa ghasia na machafuko. Suluhisho pekee ni kupata #KatibaMpya itakayowekeza kwenye taasisi imara na taasisi huru. Wananchi lazima tyukubali kuumia na kuunganisha nguvu bila kujali vyama, wanaharakati ili kupata katiba ya wananchi.

After President Samia's trip to Dubai, we have witnessed our fellow Tanzanians from 16 villages in Loliondo being forcefully reallocated from their ancestral lands by military force while the Arab royalties and business moguls have been given permission to hunt in our reserves. And now we are witnessing the port investment saga with DPW, all this is the implementation of the agreement made by President Samia in her Dubaistate visit. Our nation borrowed more than 1 trillion from the World Bank as an investment towards improving the efficiency of port services but today our government is freely handing over ports to DP World while the DP World contract has not specified how much money will be invested in the port.

 This clearly shows that government leaders are stealing the country's resources under the umbrella of investment. Citizens are questioning; if the government has failed to manage the port, how will it be able to manage a country with 60 million people?, how was DP found? What other companies did he compete with in the tender and when?. The government however has been keeping a blind eye on these questions and instead has sent public officials all over the country to hold public  meetings with an agenda of defending the legitimacy of DP World contract inorder to fool and blind citizens.  The government has also been silencing people who are making noise on the illegitimacy of DPW by calling them deceivers of the public for their own personal gains and have even gone further to sending threats to others so that they do not raise their voice but the voice of the people continues to prevail. 

This country belongs to Tanzanians and Tanzanians have their constitutional rights such as the freedom of expression. The government preventing citizens from using democratic means to obtain a national consensus will lead to a reign of violence and chaos. The only solution is for Tanzania to obtain a new constitution that will invest in strong and independent institutions. Citizens must accept to go through these tough times and join forces regardless of one’s political parties, or occupations in the fight for a constitution belonging to the people.
