Suala hili la mkataba wa bandari tumegawanyika kuna waaojitoa na wapo ambao wanakubali kulishwa uongo mzito wa bandari tueleimishane ili kukomboa nchi yetu. Sakata la mkataba wa bandari limekua na taarifa nyingi zinazokinzana kiasi cha kuleta mgawanyiko miongoni mwa wananchi. Kwa kuangalia nchi ambazo DP World zimewahi kuwekeza kwenye bandari kama Yemen na Djibouti wamesumbuliwa na mikataba mibovu walioingia na DP World. Kuna wananchi wanaopinga mkataba huu wa bandari na wengine kwa kutokuwa na maarifa zaidi juu ya mkataba huu wanakubali kulishwa uongo mzito wa bandari na viongozi wa Serikali.

Inabidi wananchi watumie majukwaa waliyonayo kuelimisha wenzao na kupaza sauti juu ya swala hili la bandari ili kuruhusu wananchi wengi kujua ukweli uliojificha nyuma ya uwekezaji huu wa bandari kwani ni wa kinyonyaji na haufai kwa nchi yetu. Lakini kuongea na kupiga kelele haitoshi. Wananchi wanatakiwa kuchukua hatua zaidi za maandano na njia nyingine za amani kuitaka serikali ifutilie mbali mkataba huo au ifanye marekebisho. 

Katiba yetu ni tatizo kwa kuwa msingi wa mikataba mibovu ni katiba mbovu ambayo imemtengeneza Rais ambaye ni Mungu Mtu. Mabadiliko hayaletwi kwa kuogopa bali ni kukabiliana na hofu, ni lazima wananchi walitambue hili katika kukabiliana na mikataba mibovu ni kupata #KatibaMpya itakayo linda wananchi. Hivyo, pamoja na yote wananchi waendelee kudai #KatibaMpya itakayowezesha wananchi kuwajibisha viongozi.

Tanzanians have been divided by the ongoing DP World port contract saga where as  there are those who are well informed on the contract contents and are against the country entering into such exploitative agreement and there are those who are ignorant and are easily deceived by the government lies concerning the contract. Division among the people is partially caused by the presence of many conflicting information about the details entailed in the contract but also by looking at the countries where DP World has invested in ports like Yemen and Djibouti, the exploitative contracts they entered has left them in tears and their resources lost. Citizens have to use the platforms they have to educate their peers and raise their voices on this DP World issue so that more citizens are made aware of the hidden truth behind this need for investment because it is exploitative and not fit for our country. Raising our voices is not enough. Citizens need to take other peaceful means to force the government to make amendments or better yet if impossible then cancel the contract.

Our outdated constitution is a source of all bad contracts that the government has entered. This is because the constitution has placed too much power in the hands of the President who in this case we can go further to terming her as a manly God as she can do whatever she pleases without being held accountable for the actions. Tanzanians must wake up and realize that their fear to confront the government when wrong will not bring about any changes and that change can only be brought by bringing the power back to the people. This is only possible with a new constitution that will protect the people. So, despite everything, Tanzanians should continue to demand a new constitution that will enable us to hold leaders accountable.
