Serikali imekua ikipora mali za umma kwa kiasi kikubwa kwa kuwa katiba tuliyonayo inawapa mamlaka hayo. Sheria za ardhi zinaipa mamlaka Serikali kuhodhi ardhi yote ya Tanzania kupitia kwa Rais, umiliki wetu wa ardhi kama wananchi unaweza potea muda wowote pale Rais anapotaka hiyo ardhi tena kwa fidia ndogo. Tunatungiwa sheria za kukandamiza wananchi kwa kuwa tuna Bunge la chama kimoja ambalo lina adhma ya kupora mali za Watanzania. Nyumba ya haki ambayo ni mahakama iligeuzwa kuwa nyumba ya wizi kwani mahakama sio huru. Tuna viongozi wasiopenda uwazi na uhuru, kwani tumeona Waziri Mkuu akionya wananchi kutorekodi matukio ya uonevu.

Uporaji wa mali za umma unatokea kwa kuwa hakuna msingi mzuri wa uwajibikaji kama nchi. Tiba ya kudumu ya Serikali inayopora mali za umma ambayo ni kupata #KatibaMpya ambayo itaweka sheria na mifumo itakayo lazimisha Rais na serikali yake kuwa waadilifu na wawajibikaji.  Suala la #KatibaMpya limebaki kuwa la watu wachache. Watanzania tunatakiwa kuamka na kudai mabadiliko. Vijana waache kufuatilia mambo yasiyo ya msingi kama udaku na kuweka majukwaa ya uhamasishaji wa mabadiliko ya katiba. Tunatakiwa kuwa na #KatibaMpya ambayo  itawapa wananchi mamlaka juu ya viongozi wao.

The government has been looting public property to a large extent because the constitution we have gives them that authority. Land laws empower the Government to monopolize Tanzanian land through the President, our ownership of land as citizens can be lost at any time in exchange for a small compensation when the President wants the land. Our government passes laws that oppress the people because the parliament is made up of the ruling party. The judiciary which is the house of justice has turned into a house of theft because the court is not independent. We have leaders who do not like transparency and freedom, as we have publicly witnessed the Prime Minister warning the public from recording incidents of injustice.

Looting of public property occurs because there is no good basis for accountability as a country. The permanent cure for the Government to put an end to looting public property is to get a new constitution that will establish laws and systems that will force the President and his government to be responsible and accountable for their actions. Sadly, the demand for a new constitution  has remained for a few people. Tanzanians need to wake up and demand change. Young people should stop following non-basic things like gossip and set up platforms to promote the change of the constitution. We need to have a new constitution that will return power back to the hands of the people.
