Vuguvugu imeendelea baina ya wananchi juu ya sakati hili la bandari baada ya mkataba wa azimio la serikali ya Tanzania kuingia makubaliano na Dubai Port World kuonekana hadharani. Wananchi wamehoji kuwa  Serikali ya Tanzania imeshindwa kupata faida katika bandari kwa kuwa imeshindwa kufungua na kusimamia sekta ya usafirishaji na kufungua mipaka ya nchi inayolemewa na msongamano. Mkataba huu wa bandari haujaweka wazi mambo muhimu kama taarifa ya mapato. Kwa makubaliano hayo ya awali,  hakuna mtu ambaye ataweza kujua kiwango cha mapato jambo ambalo ni kinyume na katiba yetu. Wabunge wameejadili swala hili bungeni bila ya kukaa na kusikiliza maoni ya wananchi. Hii inaonyesha ni kwa jinsi gani wananchi wamekuwa pembeni na hoja zao kutotiliwa maanani. Kitendo cha kuruhusu wawekezaji wa kiaarabu bandari zetu inaonyesha jinsi tumeshindwa kujiongoza na ni kwa jinsi gani viongozi wetu wameshindwa kufikiri namna ya kutumia rasilimali zetu kuleta maendeleo. 

Maswali yameibuka juu ya bandari za Zanzibar kutohusishwa kwenye mkataba huo kwani Zanzibar ni sehemu ya Tanzania. Wananchi wameona kuwa Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM)  kimeshindwa kiitikadi, kisera, na kifalsafa na kuwa kama chama tawala hakina dira ya wapi tunaelekea kama nchi. Hii ni kwa sababu kila Rais aneyeingia madarakani huja na muelekeo wake ambao ni tofauti na Rais aliyepita.

 A state of confusion has continued to prevail amongst the citizens concerning the agreement on the management of Tanzania ports by the Dubai Port World after the Memorandum of Understanding being revealed to the public. Citizens stated that the government’s inability to make profit from the country’s ports is partly because it has failed to manage the transport sector and open up congested borders. This port agreement document signed by the government does not disclose important information such as the income information expected from the arrangement and with that initial agreement no one will be able to access this information, something that is against our constitution. Members of Parliament have gone forward to discuss this issue in parliament without listening to the opinions of the people. This only shows how the citizens have been sidelined and their concerns are not taken into consideration. The act of allowing Arab investors into our ports shows how we have failed to lead ourselves as a nation and how our leaders have failed to strategically think and plan on how to best use our resources to bring about development.

Questions have also arisen about Zanzibar's ports not being included as part of the agreement and where it left Zanzibar since Zanzibar is also part of Tanzania. The people have seen that the ruling party has failed ideologically, politically, and philosophically and that as a ruling party it has failed to come up with a vision of where we are headed as a country. This is because every President who ascends to power comes with his/her own vision which directs the nation to a different direction from its preceding one.
