Watanzania hawaoni kama nchi ina uhuru. Kwani uhuru wa kweli huwapa wananchi nguvu ya kukemea na kuikosoa serikali. Haki na maendeleo ya kiuchumi yanaenda sambamba na uhuru wa nchi. Nchi yetu imekosa viongozi waadilifu wenye nia ya dhati ya kuinua maisha ya wananchi wake. Moja ya pato kuu la Serikali ni kodi za wananchi wake,  ili kutekeleza hili kwa njia ambayo ni endelevu Serikali inapaswa kuwekeza katika miradi na sera za ajira zitakazowesha wananchi wake kufanya kazi na kuendelea kulipa kodi lakini swala hili limeonekana kuwa kinyume kwani kiongozi mkuu wa nchi yetu, Rais Samia alisikikia akisema kuwa jukumu la vijana kupata ajira sio jukumu lake. Tunajua vyema kwamba utengenezaji wa ajira ni kazi kubwa ya rais yeyote yule ulimwenguni. Rais akiwa anafanya maendeleo ya kutengeneza ajira, maendeleo ya kiuchumi hutokea.

Rasilimali nchini ni nyingi lakini tumekosa viongozi wenye upeo wanaoweza kuongoza nchi ili rasilimali zilizopo ziweze kuwanufaishea wananchi. Viongozi wetu hawafuati misingi wanayotakiwa kufuatwa. Tunakosa viongozi bora sababu hakuna haki. Wananchi bado wanapokonywa haki zao kwa mtutu wa bunduki, bado wanaiomba Serikali kutekeleza haki zao kikatiba. Mfano mzuri ni haki ya vyama vya siasa kuendesha mikutano ya hadhara. Ni lazima kuwe na ushirikiano kati ya wananchi katika kupigania haki hasa pale wengine wanapoonewa. 

Ili nchi iwe na uhuru, ni lazima wananchi waweze kuwajibisha viongozi wao ili kuletea maendeleo, kwani maendeleo tunayohitaji ni maendeleo ya watu na si vitu. Uhuru pekee ni mamlaka kuwa chini ya wananchi na hii ni pale tuu tutakapopata #KatibaMpya Katiba isiyo na misingi ya kisiasa.

ENGLISH VERSION

Tanzanians do not regard their country as free. Because true freedom gives citizens the power to rebuke and criticize the government. Justice and economic development go hand in hand with the freedom of the country. Our country lacks upright leaders with a sincere desire to develop and improve the lives of its citizens. One of the Government’s main sources of income is the people’s taxes but in order to implement this it should be in a way that is sustainable. The Government should invest in projects and create swift employment policies that will enable its citizens to attain work and continue to faithfully pay their taxes but this has been seen as the opposite after our President Samia was heard saying that it is not her responsibility to find employment opportunities for the youth. We know very well that job creation is the biggest task of any president in the world. When the president makes progress to create jobs, economic development occurs.

There are many resources in the country but lack leaders who can lead the country effectively and efficiently in utilizing the available resources to benefit the people. Our leaders do not follow the set principles to be followed and because of that there is no justice. Citizens are still deprived of their rights at gunpoint, citizens still request the government to practice their constitutional rights. A good example is the right of political parties to hold public rallies. Citizens need to unite together to fight for their rights especially when there is injustice.

For the country to be truly free, the citizens must be able to hold their leaders accountable to bring about development, because the development we seek as a nation is not of material things but that of people. The people’s only freedom is for power to be in the hands of the people and this is only possible with a new constitution. A constitution not influenced by any political motives.
