Harakati zozote duniani zilizofanyika kwa njia nzuri ni zile zinazolenga mabadiliko. Serikali iliyopo madarakani haipo tayari kwa ajili ya mabadiliko ndio maana inaogopa na kupiga marufuku harakati za kisiasa. Harakati za kisiasa zinapingwa sababu zinaleta uwazi kwa kufichua mambo mabaya yanayoendelea kufanyika ndani ya serikali. Wanaharakati mbalimbali wamekuwa wakikuza uelewa wa wananchi juu ya haki zao na jinsi wanavyoendelea kuwa wengi ndivyo hivyo ambavyo watu wengi zaidi wanapata uelewa juu ya haki zao.  Serikali imekua ikipiga vita wanaharakati kwa njia tofauti kama kufungiwa taasisi zao, kuwekewa makatazo ya kuendesha shughuli zao pamoja na vitisho juu ya maisha yao.
Kwa miaka sasa tumeona jinsi serikali imekua hasi hata kwa wananchi wa kawaida wanaosema juu ya mabaya, udhalimu na unyanyasaji unaofanywa na serikali nchini. Kwa vyama na viongozi wa upinzani serikali imekwamisha harakati zao kwa kuzuia mikutano ya hadhara hata pamoja na kwamba ni haki ya kikatiba.  Jambo hili limekwamisha jitihada zao za kuelimisha watanzania juu ya haki zao za msingi pamoja na kudhoofisha nguvu ya umma katika kudai haki na uwajibikaji wa viongozi nchini. Hii ni katika kuhakikisha kuwa wanabaki madarakani na kuendelea na uongozi dhalimu ambao hauwajali wananchi. Wananchi wamehamasishana kuwa harakati ni kazi ya kila mtu na si tuu wanaharakati na viongozi wa vyama vya upinzani, hivyo kila mtu atumiaenafasi yake katika kufichua maovu yanayotendekea na kuwa mstari wa mbele katika kudai haki.

ENGLISH VERSION

All political activism in the world done in a civil way usually aims for change. The government in power is not ready for change, that is why it has resolved to extinguish any political activism. Political activism is opposed because it brings clarity by exposing the bad things going on in the government. Various activists have been promoting citizens' understanding of their rights and the more they continue to be, the more people become aware of their rights. The government has been fighting activists in different ways such as the closure of their institutions, restrictions on their activities and threats to their lives.
For years now we have witnessed how the government has become hostile even towards ordinary citizens who have spoken out and unveiled about the evils, abuse and injustice done by the government. For opposition parties and their leaders, the government has hindered their movement by preventing their public political rallies and meetings even though it is their constitutional right. This has hampered their efforts to educate Tanzanians on their civil rights as well as weakening public effort in demanding rights and accountability of the country's leaders. This has been done by the government to ensure that they remain in power and continue with an oppressive leadership that does not care about the people. Citizens have urged and encouraged each other that political activism is not just the work of activists and opposition party leaders, but  everyone has a role to play. So everyone should use the opportunity at hand to expose the evils that are happening and be at the forefront of demanding justice.
