Wananchi hawana imani na jinsi kikosi kazi kilivyoanzishwa na hivyo kukiona kuwa hakina uhalali wa kufanya kazi waliyoifanya ya kukusanya maoni juu ya mchakato wa kupata katiba mpya. Wananchi wameona kuwa kikosi kazi hiki hakikuwa na maana yeyote kwani kwani kilieenda kukusanya maoni yanayompendeza Rais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania. Hii ni kutokana na maoni yaliyopendekezwa na kikosi kazi hiki kulenga kuendelea kuipa Serikali mamlaka ya kuwaonea wananchi wake. Baadhi ya mapendekezo yaliyotolewa ilikuwa ni kuanzishwa kwa taasisi maalum ya kusimamia vyombo vya habari nchini itakayosimamia taratibu na utekelezaji wa sheria zinazohusiana na utoaji habari kwa umma. Wananchi wamehoji ni kwa njia zipi chombo hiki kitaundwa na wenda ni njia ya serikali kutaka kivuruga zaidi tasnia ya habari kwani tayari kuna taasisi ambayo si ya kiserikali iitwayo Media Council of Tanzania inayotekeleza dhumuni sawa na hilo. 

Swala vyama upinzani  la kuendesha mikutano ya hadhara pia liligusiwa na wengi walihoji juu ya kauli ya Rais kwamba mikutano ya hadhara haitaruhusiwa mpaka pale Serikali itakapotoa mwongozo wa sheria, swala ambalo halina msingi wowote zaidi ya kuiminya demokrasia kwani kuendesha mikutano hii ni haki ya vyama vya siasa kisheria. Wananchi wanaamini kuwa kikosi kazi kiliandaliwa kwa kusudi la kuzima mchakato wa Katiba mpya. Ni zaidi ya miaka ishirini tangu wananchi wa Tanzania waanze madai ya Katiba mpya, ni wakati wa kila mtu kwa nafasi yake kushiriki katika madai haya. Wananchi kwa upekee waliviomba vyama vya upinzani kuungana ili kuongeza nguvu katika kuufufua mchakato huu wa Katiba mpya.

ENGLISH VERSION

The people do not have faith in the way the constitutional task force was established and therefore consider it to be unjustified to do the work as they did to collect opinions on the means by which we can attain a new constitution. Citizens have seen that there is no meaning of establishing the task force since all it did was collect opinions favorable to the President of the United Republic of Tanzania. This is due to the fact that the recommendations proposed by this task force aim to intensify the power to the government to continue oppressing its citizens. Some of the suggestions made were the establishment of an independent institution to manage the media houses and personnel in the country that will oversee the implementation of laws related to the provision or dissemination of information to the public.

 Citizens have questioned in which ways will this institution be created and perhaps if it is the government's way of continuing to disrupt the media industry because there is already a non-governmental institution, the Media Council of Tanzania that carries out a similar purpose. Another issue that drew interest is the permission to opposition parties to conduct public meetings. The citizens questioned the President's statement that it will not be allowed until the government issues guidelines for the law, an issue that has no other basis than suppressing democracy since conducting these meetings is the legal right of political parties. The people believe that the task force was organized to stop the process of the new Constitution. It's been more than twenty years since Tanzanians started demanding for a new Constitution, it's time for everyone to participate in these demands. The people specifically asked the opposition parties to unite in order to increase their strength in reviving this process of the new Constitution.
