Hakuna utayari wa kisiasa katika kupatia wananchi  #KatibaMpya  . Serikali iliyopita iliweka wazi kwamba  #KatibaMpya  haikuwa kipaumbele chake na rais Samia pia alipoingia madarakani pia alisema kuwa kipaumbele chake ni uchumi na kuita madai ya  #KatibaMpya  kuwa ni chokochoko. Lakini baada ya makelele ya wananchi CCM ikaishauri serikali isikilikze maoni ya wananchi na kuyafanyia kazi mchakato wa katiba mpya.

Dai la  #KatibaMpya  ni la muhimu sana kwani kuna mambo mengi yanaendelea ambayo yanahitaji mabadiliko makubwa. Tunasoma ripoti za CAG na pamoja na wizi unaofanyika bado watu wanaoongoza hayo yanayofanyika ni wateuliwa wa Rais  na hawawajibishwi kwa sababu wameteuliwa na Rais. Hivyo tunahitaj  #KatibaMpya itakayompunguzia Rais madaraka ili aweze kuwajibishwa pia. Wananchi wanasema kuwa Chama tawala kimejua kwamba wananchi wanataka Katiba itakayorudisha mamlaka kwa wananchi ndio maana inachukulia lele mama swala hili.

Katiba ya 1977 ilipatikana kwa muda mfupi na kwa uratibu wa watu wachache. Hivyo 2025 ni muda mrefu na unatosha kupata  #KatibaMpya . Upatikanaji wa  #KatibaMpya  kabla ya 2025 ni swala linalowezekana ila tuu pale ambapo kila mtu atachukua nafasi yake na kuongeza jitihada zaidi kwa kutumia njia zote halali ili kudai Katiba mpya. Inabidi vyama vya siasa, viongozi wa dini na wananchi wabadilishe ari yao kinyume na hapo uwezekano wa kupata Katiba 2025 itakua ngumu.

There is no political readiness of the government in providing the people with a new constitution ( #KatibaMpya ) . The previous government made it clear ahe new constitution was not its priority and when President Samia came to power she also plainly stated that economic development was her first priority and called the demands of the constitution a provocation. But after the outcry of the people, CCM advised the government to listen to the opinions of the people and work on the process of the new constitution.

The demand for a new constitution of utmost importance because there are many things that require major changes. Every now and then the Controller Auditor General (CAG) reports state loss of government funds that are taking place within government institutions and no accountability measures are taken on the responsible people simply because they are appointees of the President. So there is a need for a new constitution that will reduce the powers of the President so that he/ she can also be held accountable. The citizens have acknowledged that the ruling party is aware that the people want a Constitution that will return power back to the people, that is why it is taking this matter lightly.

The 1977 constitution was achieved in a short period of time and with the coordination of a few people. So 2025 is a long time and it is possible to achieve a new  Constitution within this time period. Obtaining a new constitution before 2025 is possible only when everyone will play their part and increase efforts by using all legal means to demand a new constitution. political parties, religious leaders and citizens have to change their spirit, otherwise the possibility of getting a new Constitution by 2025 will become difficult.
