Serikali bado ina mpango wa kuhamisha wananchi wanaoishi maeneo ya Ngorongoro bila USHIRIKISHAJI wa kina wa wananchi wa maeneo husika. Serikali ilitangaza kuwa itatumia mamilioni ya fedha kuhamisha watu kutoka kwenye makazi yao na kwenda kwenye maeneo
mengine ikiwemo Handeni Tanga pamoja na Zanzibar. Wanachi wamehoji juu ya chanzo cha fedha hizi kwani haikusikika ikipitishwa kwenye bajeti ya Serikali na huenda tozo zinazoendelea kuwekwa na Serikali ni njia mojawapo ya Serikali kurudisha fedha hizi.
Kuhamisha wamasai wa Ngorongoro kutasababisha kupotea kwa utalii wa kitamaduni ambao umekua ukiwepo miaka kwa miaka kama kivutio cha watalii pamoja na chanzo cha mapato ya nje kwa Serikali. Kuwahamisha wamasai kuwapeleka Zanzibar ni kuharibu utamaduni wao
pamoja na utamaduni wa watu wa Zanzibar lakini pia, kwa muujibu wa sheria watanzania bara hawaruhusiwi kumiliki ardhi Zanzibar, inakuwaje wamasai wanaenda kupewa ardhi kule?
Wananchi wameikemea Serikali kutumia nguvu kuhamisha watu bali waruhusu watu wahame kwa hiari.

ENGLISH VERSION
The government still has a plan to relocate native citizens living at Ngorongoro without fully involving the citizens of the respective areas. The government will spend millions to relocate people from their homes to other areas including Handeni Tanga and Zanzibar. Citizens have
questioned the source of these funds as it was not heard to be passed on in the Government's budget. This has left the citizens questioning whether the recent imposition of several tax charges by the Government may be one of the ways for the Government to make a return on these funds.
Moving the Maasai from Ngorongoro will lead to the death of cultural tourism that has existed in the area making it a tourist attraction as well as a source of foreign income to the government. Relocating the Maasai to Zanzibar will not only destroy the culture of the Maasai people but the
culture of the people of Zanzibar. But also it leaves a question that according to the law, Tanzanians residing in the mainland are not allowed to own land in Zanzibar, how is it that the Maasai fromTanzania mainland are going to be given land there? Citizens have urged the Government from using force to move people but to allow people to move voluntarily.
