Serikali imekua ikipotosha jamii kwenye mambo mengi sana. Kwenye janga la corona watanzania wengi walipoteza maisha juu ya upotoshaji wa seikali kuwa corona haikuwepo nchini. Matukio ya hivi karibuni ya Loliondo tumeshuhudia pia serikali ilipiga marufuko kwa vyombo vya habari kutoripoti kilichokuwa kinatokea ambapo tuliona polisi wakitumia ngivu kuwaondoa wanakijiji wa Loliondo kwenye makazi yao halali. Wanaharakati wamekuwa wakisemaa na kutetea maswala mbalimbali katika jamii lakini wananchi wamekua nyuma kwenye kuchukua hatua zaidi. Hii imekua ikiwakatisha tamaa kwani harakati zao haziungwi mkono na wadau wakubwa ambao ni wananchi. Inabidi  mikakati iwekwe kukabiliana na mambo yanayofichuliwa na wanaharakati kama ni haki inapiganiwa ipatikane na kama ni serikali kuwajibishwa wananchi waweke mikakati hiyo.

Ukatili wa polisi umekua kwa kasi kiasi kwamba wananchi wanakufa mikononi mwa polisi kabla hawajathibitika kuwa na hatia. Ripoti ya CAG imekuwa ikionyesha upotevu wa mamilioni ya fedha na serikali haijawahi kuchukua hatua yeyote ile. Katiba mpya ndio suluhu ya matatizo haya kwani itatoa haki ya kulinda uhuru wa kila mwananchi, ili akitoa maoni asionewe, tutapata tume huru ya utumishi wa jeshi la polisi itakayosimamia kero na uwajibishaji wa jeshi la polisi, na pia katiba mpya iaweka wazi njia za kuwawajibisha viongozi endapo kutakuwa na ubadhirifu wa fedha za serikali kwenye ripoti ya CAG.

The government has been misleading the community on many issues. During the corona crisis, many Tanzanians lost their lives because the government misled the public into thinking that corona did not exist in the country and as a result many people lost their lives to the disease as the government took less measures to combat the outbreak. In the recent events at Loliondo, we have witnessed the government banning the media from reporting what was happening on ground as the police used force to remove the villagers of Loliondo from their legal areas of residence. Activists have been speaking and defending on various issues in the community but the citizens have been reluctant in taking more action. This has acted as a disappointed to activists as citizens who are the main stakeholders do not support their movement. Strategies have to be put in place to deal with the things brought to light by activists so that if justice is being fought for or government accountability being sought.

Police brutality has grown so rapidly that citizens are dying at the hands of the police before they are proven guilty. The CAG report has for several years shown the loss of millions of government funds but the government has never taken any action. There’s a need for a new constitution as the solution to these problems. A new constitution protect the freedom and rights of citizens such that every citizen is able to expresses their opinion without fear of being executed, we will have an independent commission that will track the work done by the police force and hold them accountable but also a new constitution will make clear the ways to hold leaders accountable in case there is wastage of government funds in reported in the government Controller and Audit General report (CAG).
