Wananchi walitambua mchango wa viongozi kwenye kujenga uchumi wa nchi na kwamba kama tutaweza kuchagua viongozi bila uchakachuaji wa kura tutapata viongozi walio bora lakini viongozi walioiba kura kuweka mifumo mizuri ya uchumi ni ndoto. Viongozi wetu wamekosa maono ya jinsi ya kuongoza uchumi, katika miaka zaidi ya 50 ya uhuru tumeshindwa kuwa na dira ya uchumi badala yake kila rais akiingia madarakani anaingia na ndoto zake na hisia zake ya jinsi ya kuongoza uchumi.  Wananchi pia walijadili juu ya viongozi waliopo madarakani kushindwa kutumia rasilimali tulizonazo kwa ufasaha kuleta maendeleo. Mpaka leo nchi yetu bado inaagiza nafaka kama ngano kutoka nchi za nje kwa sababu imeshindwa kuwekeza kwenye mfumo wa umwagiliaji nchini.

Ili uchumi uimarike ni lazima uchumi wa mtanzania mmoja mmoja lazima uimarike. Watanzania wengi bado wanaishi chini ya dola moja  na bado serikali inaongeza tozo kwenye kila kitu. Hii imezidi kudumaza uchumi wa watanzania na jitihada za kujinasua na umaskini. Wananchi waliisihi Serikali kuboresha zaidi huduma za kijamii ambazo zinachangia katika uzalishaji ili kukuza uchumi wa watu.Wananchi pia walitambua umuhimu wa kuwa na mahakama, bunge, polisi na vyombo vya habari ilivyo huru katika kujenga uchumi, lakini cha msingi zaidi ni kuwa na katiba iliyo bora.

The people realized the contribution of good leaders in building the country's economy and that if we are able to choose leaders without the votes being rigged we will be able to get the best leaders but it is only dream to think that we can achieve a good economy with leaders who stole votes to set a good economic system in place. Our leaders lack vision on how to lead the economy, with over  50 years of independence, we have failed to have an economic compass, instead every president who comes into power comes with his dreams and aspirations on how to lead the economy. Citizens also discussed about the leaders in power failing to use the resources we have effectively to bring about development. Until today, our country still imports grains like wheat from foreign countries because it has failed to invest in irrigation systems in the country.

In order for the economy to improve, the economy of each individual Tanzanian must improve. Many Tanzanians still live on less than one dollar a day and the government still increases taxes on everything. This has further hampered the economy of Tanzanians and efforts to break free from poverty. Citizens urged the Government to further improve social services that contribute to production of goods and services in order to promote the country's economy. Citizens also realized the importance of having an independent court, parliament, police and media in building the economy, but the most important thing of all is to have a good constitution in place.
