Miaka 61 Ya Uhuru Tanganyika, Tumenufaikaje Wananchi?

Mambo mengi maovu ambayo yamekuwa yakifanywa na serikali ya ukoloni  kama vile kukamata na kutesa watu walio na mtazamo tofauti na dola, uwepo wa kodi kandamizi bado yanafanywa na serikali iliyopo madarakani. Hii imepelekea wananchi kuhoji juu ya uhuru wetu kwani kama maovu yaliyokuwa yanatendeka kwa wananchi kipindi cha ukoloni bado yanaendelea kutendeka hata baada ya kupata uhuru inamaana tumebadilisha tuu utawala lakini bado hatupo huru. Lazima kama wananchi tujiulize kama tumefikia lengo la kupata taifa lilo huru katika kila nyanja. Viongozi wetu hawaguswi na changamoto za wananchi. Kwa miaka 60 tangu uhuru kutoka kwenye mikono ya mkoloni, maadui zetu Ujinga, Maradhi na Umaskini bado wanashamiri. Watanzania walio wengi bado hawana uhakika wa kula milo mitatu kwa siku, bei za vitu zimepanda na uwepo tozo kila kona kumewaacha wananchi wakipigika kwa ajili ya utawala mbovu. Waliopewa madaraka hawana utu, busara, uadilifu, na wala hawafuati misingi ya uongozi. Chama Tawala, Chama Cha Mapinduzi kimekuwa ni kikwazo kwa maendeleo ya watu wa Tanzania. Lazima wananchi wawe tayari kupigania uhuru wa kweli na wawe tayari kulipa gharama hiyo ikiwemo kuendeleza madai ya Katiba Mpya itakayoleta misingi ya sheria na haki katika mifumo ya kiutawala kwani bado tunahangaika na mifumo ya kikoloni.

ENGLISH VERSION

Many evil things that were done by the colonial government such as arrest and torture of people with different views from the government, the presence of oppressive taxes are still being done by the government in power. This has left the people questioning our freedom as if the evils that took place during the colonial rule are still taking place even after gaining independence, it only means that we have changed regimes but still not free. As citizens, we must ask ourselves if we have reached the goal of having a free nation in every aspect. Our leaders are not concerned about the challenges facing their people. For over 60 years since independence from the colonial hands, our greatest enemies; Ignorance, Diseases and Poverty are still flourishing. The majority of Tanzanians are still not sure of having three meals a day, the prices of things have gone up and the presence of oppressive tax charges has left the citizens at the mercy of bad governance. Those given power do not have wisdom, integrity, nor follow the principles of leadership. The Ruling Party, Chama Cha Mapinduzi has been an obstacle to the development of the Tanzanian people. Tanzanians must be ready to fight for true freedom and be ready to pay the price it takes including continuing the demands for a New Constitution that will cement the foundations of law and justice in the country’s administrative systems as we are still struggling with the colonial systems.
